Model School Health Tobacco Control Intervention
This curriculum uses skills-based health education to help students acquire the knowledge, attitudes, and skills that are necessary to make informed decisions and understand the consequences of tobacco use and tobacco advertising, as well create conditions that are conducive to health. With an environmental approach that incorporates participatory activities, the curriculum engages students in advocacy and action at the local, national, and international levels to counter the insidious tactics of the tobacco industry and to create tobacco-free environments in their schools and communities. The curriculum is designed for teachers around the world who work with 12–15 year olds. English and French versions of the curriculum are available. Spanish version coming soon.
