U.S. Department of Education, Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools Community studies and reports from clinicians reveal that significant numbers of students on U.S. college campuses suffer from depression and/or anxiety and use alcohol or other drugs (AOD). This publication addresses the need for an integrated approach to mental health problems and AOD use on U.S. college and university campuses, identifies barriers that prevent the achievement of such an approach, and offers recommendations to overcome these barriers.
