SPOTLIGHT: Preparing for the H1N1

EDC's Health and Human Development division is helping communities around the world mobilize and respond to what is predicted to be another wave of the H1N1 flu pandemic this fall. We are developing a web-based course on pandemic preparedness that will assist local decision-makers in the Americas and elsewhere. For African nations, we are creating a CD-ROM with educational games that teach youth about the dangers of the flu and how to avoid transmission. And as part of a World Health Organization publication, we are producing a document to guide schools worldwide with developing a response to the pandemic. Learn more about what we do.
