Where We Work

HHD promotes healthy human development across the life cycle and in settings where people live, learn, and work. Our efforts extend globally, as well as to specific regions of the world, countries, and local communities where health disparities are found.

Through our work we serve people in such settings as local and government agencies for health, mental health, education, justice, and social welfare; hospitals and clinics; schools, colleges, and universities; workplaces; and community and non-governmental organizations.

Often, our role is to synthesize research from around the world and apply it to the development of policies, guidelines, programs, and materials. Our training and assistance enables policymakers and practitioners to adapt and apply these strategies to the cultures, customs, and systems of their countries and local communities.
