Understanding How the School Environment Impacts Children
As a key partner of the Universal Education Foundation (UEF), HHD piloted a newly developed version of the UEF Voice of Children survey to 1,500 students in Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine. To better understand the impact of the school environment on children’s well-being, the survey explores different aspects of this environment, such as physical surroundings, the psychosocial environment, teaching and learning methods, and their effects on children’s physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual well-being.
The survey results are providing a framework for examining the well-being of children in different learning environments as well as advocacy strategies that place young people at the table with policymakers as agents of change.
